Dungonnell Reservoir

This body of water, situated in the upper reaches of the Clough River is long and narrow. Its rocky shore is ideal for shore fishing, while dry fly fishing on warm summer evenings can yield good results. Improvements have been made to the feeder streams' habitat to increase wild trout production. It is important to note that this water serves as a public water supply, so precautions should be taken to avoid pollution.
The south shore is firm for most of its length, while the west shore is marshy towards the east and requires extra care. On the north side, the peninsula above the dam offers a pleasant change of scenery with a sheltered bay on the lee side.
