This is a fishery of rainbow trout. These trout are known to feed in colder water temperatures than brown trout. Therefore, it's worth visiting this place during the colder months to catch some fish. There is a facility available for disabled anglers. This is a public water supply, so it's important to be careful to prevent pollution. Most of the water is not suitable for wading. Anglers must use official entrances and avoid trespassing on adjoining lands or obstructing roadways or gate entrances with parked cars.

The presence of Zebra Mussels is still preventing the stocking of fish from Movanagher Fish Farm. For more information, please visit Zebra Mussels and impact on fish stocking in the Public Angling Estate.
