Roach and pike are the main species. The old towpath provides good access to fishing points. The Fishery starts 150m downstream of red bridge to Stranmillis weir.
Fishing points. This coarse stretch of river runs from below the Red Bridge to Stranmillis Weir and beyond. It is deep and slow flowing with fishing points available all along the old towpath on the west bank from Red Bridge downstream to Stranmillis Weir and beyond. It has good spinning water at certain places.
