This is a productive stillwater that is regularly stocked with fish. During the early season, using sinking lines and attractor fly patterns can be effective for fishing. When the weather gets warmer, using nymphs and dry flies may produce good results. Keep in mind that this is a public water supply, so it's important to take care and prevent pollution.
While wading is allowed, be cautious as it can be dangerous when the water is high. There is car parking available, but anglers must use the official entrances and avoid trespassing on adjoining lands. Also, do not obstruct roadways or gate entrances with parked cars.

The presence of Zebra Mussels is still preventing the stocking of fish from Movanagher Fish Farm. For more information, please visit Zebra Mussels and impact on fish stocking in the Public Angling Estate.
